One Designer, Any Style

Traditional

Traditional

An homage to classic European decor of the 17th through 19th centuries, usually English or French, and its later reinterpretation in America. Although elegant, the style also emphasizes simplicity and comfort and typically utilizes warm rich colors, deep wood tones, and architectural detailing.

Old World

Old World

Reminiscent of European manors and estates of the 15th through 17th centuries, the style evokes a sense of antiquity and grandeur. Influences are as varied as Medieval to Renaissance and Italian to Spanish: the one constant being the overall feeling of regal stateliness, distressed and aged, yet undiminished by centuries of wear.

French Country

French Country

The style, as it’s name implies, was born in the patoral countryside of Provence, France. Simple and unpretentious, earthy and worn, rustic – not crude, the decor suggests that each cherished object has been handed down from the hardworking generations before.

Contemporary

Contemporary

Decor of the present-day – current and of the time; it is the antithesis of Traditional decor. With a strong emphasis on line and form, it is an entirely uncluttered, minimalistic approach to design. Rooms are designed with abundant open space, giving significant import to the items placed within. Less is indeed more.

Coastal

Coastal

Typically, associated with the American Atlantic coastline, the style may assume the traditional look of a Cape Cod saltbox, the more sleek lines of a Miami condo, or the cluttered collected appearance of a Key West cottage. Coastal interiors blur the distinction of inside/outside, introducing the exterior elements and palette to the interior decor.

German Model Merchandising

German Model Merchandising

The merchandising of the German “Row Homes” (town homes) utilized furnishings obtained in Europe and accessorized with art, materials, and objects imported from the United States. It was an extremely successful partnership introducing German home buyers to the emotional aspect of purchasing a home in addition to the sturdiness of its construction.

Testimonials

  • My wife and I have been working with Paul Lewis since 1991. During that 26 year time span we have done a total of 7 projects with him. The list is comprised of 2 new construction homes, 4 vacation homes, and most recently a total renovation of our current residence.

Paul is very strong in all phases of design. He is incredible with kitchen and bathroom design, solid surface selection, lighting, color coordination, scale, fabrics, furniture selection and placement, hardware, etc…. His communication skills are excellent. Paul keeps you abreast of where you are on the project at all times. Unlike a lot of designers Paul also works well with the General Contractor and their subs. The 4 contractors that he has interacted with on our projects think that he is excellent. Paul understands what is realistic and what is not, something the GC’s truly value. Paul’s pricing is very fair and reasonable. As a client of Paul’s you get GREAT value for your dollars. You receive a finished product that reflects your vision, not the designer’s.

Probably the most important element of our 26 year relationship is trust. He simply does what he says he’s going do. Our daughter recently purchased a 1970’s fixer upper. We did the walk through with the contractor this past Friday and my next call will be to Paul Lewis! We have much respect for Paul’s natural talent and professionalism and highly recommend him without hesitation.

  • We have enjoyed working with Paul Lewis on two projects – our home and a beach condo. What separates Paul from other interior designers we interviewed for the jobs was not only his talent but organization. This was very important to us because we are very busy and did not have time to run all over town making selections and spending time on the phone with different manufacturers. If there was ever a problem Paul handled it until it was corrected. For example, our custom couch arrived at our home after months of waiting and it was the completely wrong color than what we picked out. Paul worked tirelessly with the store and manufacturer to correct the problem. Instead of me spending my time and stress to correct the mistake, Paul worked on it until it was corrected. In addition, his professionalism is also something that stood out to us as clients. He was always on time and was respectful of our busy schedules. He was always willing to meet at night or weekends around our work schedules.
Thanks to Paul we have two wonderful places that have been decorated beautifully and fit our design taste. We would recommend Paul to anyone interested in designing one room or a whole house.
